INTERJECTIONS
WHAT IS AN INTERJECTION WORD?
A WORD WHICH IS USED TO SHOW A STRONG OR SUDDEN FEELING IS CALLED AN INTERJECTION WORD. WE ALWAYS PUT AN EXCLAMATION MARK (!) AFTER AN INTERJECTION.
SOME EXAMPLES:-
1) WOW! WHAT A LOVELY GARDEN.
2) HURRAH! INDIA HAS WON.
3) OUCH! YOU HAVE STEPPED ON MY FOOT!
4) ALAS! MY PET IS DEAD.
5) OH NO! I DROPPED MY SANDWICH.
THE WORDS WRITTEN IN BOLD SHOW SOME SUDDEN OR STRONG FEELINGS OR EXPRESSIONS. SUCH WORDS ARE CALLED INTERJECTIONS. AN INTERJECTION IS A MOOD SHOWING WORD.
